and found it such a lovely and surprising thing

I left it attached to backing board on which it was originally mounted as it could not easily be removed

with that round and deep lower half offset by its dramatically sloping lid which doubles as a handle

Cool Old Green Striped Snake Margareta Hennix Just lusciousThis snake looks almost as if it is made of wood, but I think that it is old rubber a bit pliable, but fairly stiff. I think it's just fantastic, with these green painted stripes, inset beaded eyes, and tiny little red tongue. I have no idea of its origins, and found it at a flea market, but really could not love it more. It's surface shows some age, which just makes it all the better. 9" long x 2 1 2" wide x 3 8 thick.
