Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, the obverse bearing a raised figure holding a sword and shield, surrounded by raised inscriptions of RHEIN and MAIN, the reverse with a central raised inscription of DAS ALTE FHRERKORPS DER NSDAP (THE OLD LEADERSHIP CORPS OF THE NSDAP), circumscribed by a raised inscription of TREFFEN HESSEN NASSAU 1936 (HESSEN
