'Ateles paniscus' [Spider monkey] Product:Canvas figures on hosebackZoological study of a spider monkey of the genus Ateles. The red faced spider monkey is now described as Atales paniscus although the subject of this illustration, described within the text as a young female, is of indeterminate type. The animal is native to South America and is shown hanging from a tree branch using one forelimb and tail. A forest scene is visible behind.
