The badge of the order, in silver gilt, a white enamelled Maltese Cross with ball finials, smooth rays in each quadrant, the obverse medallion presents three gilt stars on a blue enamel field, encircled by a decorative gilt ring, the reverse medallion inscribed PER ASPERA AS ASTRA LATVIJAS REPUBLIKA 1918 G 18 VOEMBRIS, surmounted by a wreath suspension, marked with silver fineness mark 875, FM maker mark
