Medal For The Russo-Japanese War Auction Archive 1941 in OttawaMedal for the Russo Japanese War In bronze, 28 mm, without ribbon, very fine. Footnote: The medal was instituted on January 21, 1906 during the reign of Nicholas II. It was created to commemorate the 1904 1905 conflict between the Russian and Japanese Empires. The bronze version was bestowed upon the higher ranks of military and civilian personnel, border guards and volunteers that had taken active part in the conflict.
