Constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a stylized map of the Kuban region, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by a date of 1943, affixed with all four reverse attachment prongs to a non magnetic metal backplate with a fully intact black paper backer and field grey wool liner, unmarked, the shield measuring 53. 67 mm (w) x 61. 17 mm (h), notably
