The Leathersellers' Hall had occupied the site of the dissolved St Helen's Priory and the crypt was exposed in 1799 when the hall was taken down to be rebuilt further to the east
The pool of Bethesda in Jerusalem was known for its supposed healing properties
which proposed that such motions should only be put by Ministers of the Crown and must attract a majority of three to one
