Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse consisting of a Braunschweiger style Totenkopf, the reverse fitted with a bar perforated with two eyelets, unmarked, measuring 75 mm (w) x 75 mm (h), missing all three of its attachment prongs, a scarce insignia for use on the Braunschweigisches Husaren Regiment Nr. 17 busby, in better than very fine condition.
