Germany, Imperial. An Oldenburg Model 1862 Kürassier Helmet visually-hidden from August 9 to 31(Oldenburg M1862 Krassier Metalhelm). A well preserved Oldenburg Model 1862 Krassier Metalhelm (metal helmet), constructed of a silvered tombak shell. The crown is topped by a gilded brass oval plate, fixed in position with three of four domed rivets, which culminates in a protruding spike of identical construction. An integral ridge set into the shell extends from the back of the plate and reaches the lower rear edge of the helmet, where the helmet
