I've seen these old carved and painted antique Swedish spoons referred to as "love spoons" or "love tokens

Wear as evident and the rendering of the book is a bit wonky (maybe a few lost stitches

to mend it

And the painterly glazing--yellow with some drippy green and purple-gray--is just right
