Stunning Old Presumed Persian Plate in Brilliant Color (with Many Watching Eyes!) box of safety pins I love it's silhouetteHard to beat the brilliantly colored glazing on old Persian and Ottoman pottery. This plate I believe is Persian (there is a record of it sold as part of a Persian pottery grouping by Grogan & Company auction house, Boston) and appears to have have at least a few centuries on it. I keep thinking that the sun like reddish pink form at center, surrounded by leafy greens, looks like a big joyful radish. And the border like a perimeter of all seeing eyes.
