and a half-circle of black with a purple star inside for the nose

who I know was born in Brownsville

It is in excellent vintage condition

I wouldn't say the armature he stands on is perfect, but the hand crank turns easily and it does manage to get him moving, through his feet don't clap hard on his platform, rather just sort of tap it. And plenty of room on the front of the platform to plant a little pot of gold, or whatever else you might want to see him dancing toward! Weird and fun, and his head
