The platter measures 15" in diameter and 1 1/4" tall

and I think it is the degree to which they take themselves seriously as portraits that I find so appealing

though I am not entirely certain of its age

It is in very good vintage condition

Hand-Sculpted Small Ceramic Crescent Moon Shaped Face (and Vase!) asian decor University of DelawareI just love this little purple glazed face, shaped like a crescent moon and hollowed out to where it can rest sideways with a bud or two poking out one end. Perhaps more practical would just be to display it on a shelf or to use it as a paperweight; just a sweet and curious little thing. 5 1 2" long x 3 1 2" tall x 2 1 4" deep. Great condition.
