King Richard II with his father Product:Framed picture sits comfortably in a chairRichard was confronted with a series of crises, ranging from the Peasants' Revolt to a series of power struggles with prominent barons. Eventually, in 1399, he was deposed by Henry Bolingbroke, who ruled as Henry IV. He was imprisoned in Pontefract Castle, where he died in 1400, either murdered or left to starve to death.
