A couple of surface chips as evident but otherwise very good condition

For a while it seemed to me all of them were done by the same person but now I think by different students in the same class

My theory is that it is a folk/trench art creation modeled on Dutch and English combination lock dialed snuff boxes of the 18th and 19th century (one photo at the end as example

late 1920s/1930s I believe

I love a young man with a bike, even better two, and love the mustaches, and the attitudes of these two. With painted trees and what looks like a lake view backdrop, and a couple of rugs under foot or wheel, as it were:) As found, under glass
