I really have no idea what all is going on in ink drawing on the front of this postcard

I believe this is likely German and dates to the 1920s or so

which look to have been salvaged from a library's card catalogue

but drawing itself is in good shape

The combination of the arched back and lightening bolt esque tail (also looking a bit like a trail of smoke coming out of a chimney) makes it especially special I think, with a wonderful, and wonderfully graphic, interplay of positive and negative space. Its definitely an old one, with plenty off rusting (one one side
