Description
It was painted in oil on cloth (not canvas)
and a little light brown staining over her right (facing) shoulder and a black mark at bottom left
which has a hole in it for a loop
Reminds me a fair bit of German Erzgerige animals
leaving him with a wide open mouth that looks as if it might be shouting "timberrrrr
Young Girl in Gold, Hand-tinted 19th C. Sixth Plate Ambrotype with Gilding wooden construction set It was painted in oilA charmer of an ambrotype and subject! I think, especially special for being hand colored, not just the yellow tint of her dress and pink of her cheeks, but also hand drawn black lines detailing her dress and a gilded flourish at her neck. I love her face, and her hands, and especially the play between her legs and boot tops and the seat and legs of the chair. 3 5 16" x 2 13 16". Overall good condition, with one black mark coming down from upper left
