In 2011 it seems to have more of the former and a bit less of the latter

flavorful vintage port and a very good tawny called Nimrod

Firm reduction dominates the fruit today though it does appear quite ripe. Otherwise there is excellent freshness to the racy and nicely detailed flavors that possess a velvety mid palate texture that contrasts somewhat with the crunchy and slightly rustic finale.
