This piece could be displayed flat or a hook could be attached to the backside for hanging

there is some darkening to the bisque base

I really love the long neck and dramatic angle of that root head terminating in white painted beak

Sweet Old Wooden Duck on Post with Extreme Alligator Paint jointed boxing figures There is a label gluedI assume this duck was just made to be decorative rather than as a decoy, since its just a domestic duck though I suppose it could have been used as a sign advertising ducklings or duck eggs? for sale! It definitely lived outdoors for a good number of years, with almost all of the white paint gone from one side, and this terrific alligator cracking to the paint on the "good" side. Still firmly attached to its metal post and perfectly ready to stick
