Friendly Mid-Century Danish Modern Wooden Viking Figurine Chinese chop among many othersThis vintage Danish Modern Viking figure, with copper shield and woolen tunic, was a souvenir from Jelling, in Jutland, a UNESCO world heritage site filled with thousand year old Viking rune stones and burial mounds. While there are lots of Scandinavian wooden Viking figures out there, I must say that I have yet to come across another who looks so kind, happy, and decidedly non fierce; really, he seems like he just wants to make friends! He's also got
