I've become pretty fascinated by these penmanship practice notebooks

with a little softening to the points of the corners

I find this naive eagle watercolor in shades of peach especially winning, with arrows tipped in what look like hearts held in one talon, and what looks like a tulip on stem in the other. 19th century, probably Pennsylvania.
