'Cuprum arseniatum' Size:S: 36 x 28cm a lean man in aSpecimen termed 'Arseniate of copper' with two details of crystals. Plate 93 from British mineralogy: or coloured figures intended to elucidate the mineralogy of Great Britain, by James Sowerby, volume 1 (London, R. Taylor & Co., 1804). The accompanying text states that 'This beautiful specimen was lent me by my good friend Philip Rashleigh, Esq., of Menabilly. It comes from Gwenap' [Gwennap, in Cornwall]. The plate is inscribed: 'Octr. 1 1804.
