I love that the color and style of the text is completely different on opposite sides of this one
reminding one of the lay of the land prior to the Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo ending the Mexican American War in 1848 (the reddish watercolor line on the card demarcates the pre-1848 border)

Very Finely Carved Antique Wooden Hand marthe based on the style ofTiny, but pretty exquisite I think, I'd guess from a very old Santos figure or similar. A great deal of care was invested in carving then painting it (showing now a mix of brownish red and gold) with beautifully tapering fingers, painted fingernails, and even fine lines carved into the palm of the hand.
