and always subtly surprising
Original cardboard mount included
Toning and fading as obvious with one small hole at cente right but stable and not especially fragile and to my eye the aging is all to the good
with all pieces joined by tiny nails
often incorporating marble dust as well to lend more texture and shimmer
Written with a Strong Hand, 19th Century Penmanship Notebook with Many Good Combinations lemon yellow creamer and always subtly surprisingThis one was not fully completed, but the ink is so strong, and the hand that wrote it so confident, and the completed pages include some of my favorite work combinations ever: Valentine + Vermilion, Quickener + Quenchers, Yearning + Yawning (and here one Yearling inserted, too), and whole pages of Ordinary and Disclaimer. I'll never get over the delight and resonance of seeing such words repeated over and over again in perfect cursive. 8 3 8" x 6 7
