Councellor Ego - ie - little i, myself i mb-height 3797 28 October 1844'Councellor Ego ie little i, myself i', 1798. Thomas Erskine facing left and looking straight before him, wearing a Counsellor's wig, gown and bands. He is holding a sheet of paper liberally inscribed with i and me. Above his head is a cap of Liberty with a tricolour cockade. The image is an allusion to Erskine's egotistical speeches.
