Small Hand-crafted Old Wooden Wall Shelf for Tiny Curios bowl I have found a number

I have found a number of lovely cast silver polar bears online of about the same size and to which it bears a close resemblance

this large West German Georg Schmider bowl features a satin white body animated by a  cheerful incised surface design of interlocking circles with pops of red

This piece was created at  Lapid Pottery Works in Tel Aviv

into which all of the components neatly fit

as if he's just woken from a nap

Small Hand-crafted Old Wooden Wall Shelf for Tiny Curios bowl I have found a numberWhat a curious little shelf this is, stamped on the back as having been made by Ebenezer Averill Boxworks. I've done some digging and have found a few Ebenezer Averill's from these parts from the 18th and 19th centuries, but have not found any citations of a Boxworks, so am not quite sure of the age of this piece, though I might guess late 19th early 20th c. I'm also not quite sure what is was made for perhaps for spools of thread and thimbles? It
