This carving came from an old estate in Damariscotta

with what I believe are horsehair bristles running both horizontally

titled at lower left and signed at lower right

Very Sweet Blue and White Painted Folk Art House Bank mended softball painting in very good conditionI'll never pass on a good little folk art house, and think this is a very sweet, nicely constructed one, 1930s 40s, made as a coin bank, and painted this cheerful white and blue. Plenty of wear around the slot in the roof telling us it surely accumulated some riches! There is a hole in the bottom via which coins or bills could be retrieved. 5 1 4" t x 5 3 4" w x 54 15 16" d and in good overall condition, nicely aged.
