textural quality in the Centre
bright and concentrated
the wine is a slow developer
The palate is surprisingly structured with a length uncommon in a wine of its age
Hard to resist this as it pulls you into the juicy and bright palate which feels a bit lighter than it actually is
Rhys Vineyards Alesia 2018 Anderson Valley USA Chardonnay Château Brane-Cantenac textural quality in the CentreThe 2018 Chardonnay (Anderson Valley), all from Bearwallow, is surprisingly tightly wound, which wont be an issue in time, but readers should not be looking at this as an easygoing wine for near term drinking. Bright acids give the orchard fruit, citrus confit and floral notes a good bit of energy. There is a lot to like here. Light tropical accents develop with air, rounding out the finish nicely. 92 Pts Vinous
