2023 Wills Wine Côtes du Rhône, France Gaja renowned for its chalky limestoneA returning cuve, first produced in 2020. Fruit was purchased from the same sites as before, one being Syrah (10yo) planted on a clay limestone terrace backing onto forest as the foothills of Seguret. The other site for the Grenache and Cinsault (60yo), a more classical southern terroir; on the flats below the Syrah. Galets rouls, with deep clay. Vinified whole bunch in a concrete tank. A low and slow ferment, with a gentle maceration. Ageing in 8yo
